Jaime Wood has been an educator for over sixteen years and has been doing faculty development work for three years in Portland, Oregon, USA. She became passionate about using OERs with her students when she taught at community colleges where many of her students couldn't afford textbooks and didn't find much value in them beyond meeting the requirements of the class. She's been experimenting with using different types of OER and Open Practices for eight years at the college and university level. She loves to talk about Open Pedagogy, student-created assignments, and critical pedagogy.
